Long Time, Short Attention Span
I know I more or less abandoned this place over a month and a half ago. My apologies, but it isn't like I have a whole lot of subscribers. I have been thinking about what I want this place to be. I already have another online journal that I've had for a few years. So, forgive me if I'm not quite sure where I'll distinguish the two.Right now I'd like to talk about a personal observation. I was reading through an infamous WVU blog, unknownblogger.blogspot.com, which is more or less a politically oriented journal. I was reading through it trying to decide what was:
- A.) So intriguing about this person's blog.
- B.) So controversial about this blog.
(An aside: I really, REALLY despise the term, "blog." To be perfectly honest, I was very reluctant to start a journal on blogspot simply because of the domain name.)
I came to the conclusion that it was, in fact, extremely boring. If I cared about anything in his blog it would simply be for the bits of state and local news. In other words, fuck him, read the god-damned newspaper you twits! Seriously. If I wanted to read about local events, I would be certain to read the bloody newspaper and cut out the two bit commentary.
After this bit I had intended for there to be some funny commentary, but I lost it on a random window refresh yesterday and my attempts to recapture the funny have not yielded positive results. What you really needed to know is that the news offers very little in the category of "Vital Everyday Existence Information," and that I have a goat named Daisy.
